New business owners are required to complete an Occupation Tax Certificate Application and attend a Regular City Council to apply for a Business License.  Please notify the Town Clerk at least 7 days prior to the regularly scheduled City Council meeting if you would like to be included on the Agenda.   The North High Shoals City Council meets the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Town Hall/Community Center located at 260 Hillsboro Rd, adjacent to the Town Park.  Applications fees are $25 and due upon approval of the license.

All business licenses are valid for one year from January 1 to December 31.  To renew a business license, business owners do need to attend a Regular City Council meeting if nothing has changed about their business.  Renewal notices are mailed to business owners at the beginning of January.  The renewal fee of $25 is due by January 31.  If the fee has not been paid by May 1st, the business license shall be declared delinquent under the North High Shoals Approved Code Ordinance Section 4.3.12 and be subject to all applicable penalties.
